Putting a PayPal button on your web page is an excellent way to accept payments or donations through your website. With Boxmode, you can add and set up the payment button quickly and easily.

You can learn about the widget’s general settings (how to add, move, resize, and delete the widget) in our Widgets Overview article.

Editing the widget

To start editing your PayPal Button widget, click on the widget to call out its controls. The widget editing menu contains four controls, such as Design, Layout, Settings, and Templates. By using the controls, you can customize the widget in multiple ways.

Design

This control allows you to set the button’s visual parameters, such as borders, shadows, and background color. To set additional parameters of the borders and shadows, move the corresponding toggle switches.

Layout

This control allows you to adjust the widget’s paddings.

Settings

Manage button

This control lets you customize your payment button’s essential settings. Enter the email address associated with your PayPal account (if you don’t have one, you need to create it first), the product/donation ID number on PayPal, and the product/organization name. Then you can set the price and currency in the corresponding fields. Move the toggle switch next to the Open in new window option if you want to open the PayPal payment page in a new window.

Templates

This control allows you to choose among several predefined button designs, depending on your needs and preferences.

If you need a custom button instead of a payment one, you can use the Boxmode Button basic element. Learn more about the basic elements in our Basic Elements Overview article.

If you’re in a retail business, you may also consider using our Store widget.
